Dogs at Dusk: Dog Training Apprentice

Dogs at Dusk – Dog Training Apprentice is a series of 6-week after-school programs (1/10-2/20; 3/5-19 + 4/9-23; no class 2/27 or 3/26) where youth learn dog safety, assessment, teaching, and handling.

In this intermediate program, youth will continue to develop their dog handling skills and learn how to train dogs through a series of skills and behaviors. These will be active sessions with actual lessons interacting with dogs we provide (no personal dogs allowed). It builds upon the Canine Communicator Badge, which is a prerequisite (Dogs at Dusk Parts 1-3 OR any of our spring/summer camps). These will be active sessions with actual lessons interacting with dogs we provide (no personal dogs allowed).  Youth will build a plan of what they want to achieve with a specific dog, with options over time to include training for canine good citizen (CGC) behaviors, dog-specific training needs, tricks training, confidence games and more.

Each session will build on prior sessions, so plan to attend them in sequence for the best experience.

You need to register for each 6-week program separately,
