Birsu Bascillar brings a diverse background to the Paws 4 Kids 4 Paws Board, including a decade of non-profit executive management experience. She is a bit of a nomad, exploring different places while pursuing her interests as an artist and writer. Birsu is an immigrant, having moved with her family to the United States in the mid-1960s. She is the daughter of a veterinarian and the mother of two adult children. She cites her adaptation experience as an immigrant, the wisdom and compassion of her father, and the humbling and heart-expanding experience of motherhood as her greatest influences.
